Carolina Uzeda has extensive experience in high-stakes and large-scale litigation, with a strong focus on complex disputes involving significant financial, political, and social impact. She acts in leading cases before Brazilian appellate and superior courts, including repetitive appeals and precedent-defining matters, representing clients in strategically sensitive litigation across multiple industries. Carolina is known for designing sophisticated procedural strategies, managing complex litigation portfolios, and navigating multifaceted disputes that demand deep analytical rigor and precision.For the past two years, Carolina has been recognized by LACCA (Latin American Corporate Counsel Association), reflecting market acknowledgment of her technical excellence and her work in cases involving major financial institutions and structurally relevant disputes. She is also widely regarded for her contributions to civil procedure scholarship and her ability to bridge advanced procedural theory with the practical demands of complex litigation.A dedicated advocate for legal education and professional development, Carolina serves as a professor of Civil Procedure and frequently lectures and publishes on topics such as strategic litigation, procedural fairness, case management, predatory litigation, and judicial standards of intervention. She is committed to strengthening the next generation of litigators and plays an active role in initiatives supporting diversity and inclusion within the legal academy and profession.Carolina holds a Ph.D. in Civil Procedure from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), where her research focused on good faith in civil procedure. She is currently pursuing a postdoctoral fellowship at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), dedicated to studying abuse of the right of action, article 142 of the Brazilian Code of Civil Procedure, and mechanisms to confront predatory litigation.She also holds an LL.M. in Civil Procedure from PUC-SP, with research on appellate standing (interesse recursal), and has completed two postgraduate specializations: one in Civil Procedure from PUC-Rio, and another in Civil Law and Civil Procedure from Universidade Estácio de Sá (UNESA).
